How should I paint my bonus room?

There are so many things you can do with your bonus room or F.R.O.G. [family-room-over-garge] as we call it in our home.

Many, if not all the homes here in South Charlotte have these bonus rooms. They of course vary in size and shape but they all have that awkwardly shaped and confusing ceiling lines. Here’s what I recommend for you to try:

Playroom: This space is perfect for the kids to play since the ceilings are a bit low. When it comes to color, remember it’s a kids room so keep the color playful and universal for both boys and girls. Purple is a great choice and one hue that the kids just love. Keep it monochromatic so the room will look larger and less angled.

Office area: The bonus room is the perfect hideaway for a home-based business. It’s clearly a place to work with only one way in and one way out and the option to lock the door. Keep the color here neutral to go with all office decor yet soothing for the mind. Make sure your computer will not have a glare from the window so place your desk properly.

This room can also be a Man Cave, Women Cave or if need be – just a great room for storage since many homes in South Charlotte do not have basements.
