Lean in or back off? When it comes to taking a strong stance in life, whether it’s jobs, opinions or even on cultural messages directed at boys versus girls as mentioned in Sheryl Sandberg’s new book Lean In, taking a stance for what you believe in to get where you need to be will dictate the rest of your life.

The same goes for paint color. You’ll hear me say time and time again just to choose the paint colors you love and don’t worry about if the neighbors love it or if your friends think it’s weird – just do what YOU feel is the right choice.

Life is all about putting things in perspective and doing what makes you happy. I know I’ve spent way too much time adjusting ME because I thought it would suit someone else better but you know what, there’s only one ME and I like it that way!
