Any color you want! Really. Don’t be afraid to use color. There are some rules and guidelines that you should follow but certainly don’t default to white or beige just because you’re afraid of color.
Wouldn’t you love to see some of these Benjamin Moore soft greens in your home? In many of my color consultations, particularly the homes in Marvin, The Chimney’s subdivision, these colors work well. These particular greens are normally used in either the living room or dining room. I’ve even used the darkest green, Vintage Vogue, as an office color. The offices in The Chimney‘s are usually across from the dining room.
The homes in Marvin, NC also have open floor plans. This means you’ll have a large, two-story open foyer area. How do you choose color for that?
I like to use some type of neutral for the foyer but to make certain it’s not even remotely close to the Contractors Beige that you’re trying to cover up. A nice rich beige such as Sea Urchin is a great choice. Use the same color for your upper hallways too.
If you live in The Chimney’s or anywhere in the Marvin area, contact me to schedule a color Consultation. My office is located just down the road and I can accommodate most schedules.
