If you need a quick splash of color, nothing does it quicker than adding a rug. I was looking through Home Fashion Forecast this morning and saw this ad for Capel rugs featuring Genevieve Gorder from HGTV.
Why do I love Capel Rugs? Other than the obvious great colors and patterns, I love that I can just drive and be there in 20 minutes to see them all in person … hmmmmm … note to self: Great blog post to come [Capel Rugs].
Spring 2011 when I went to High Point, Capel Rug was also there. They were giving out miniature braided rugs about the size of a coaster. I am now the proud owner of the most stylish coaster in all of Charlotte! Ok, back to color.
I know that this is just a photograph to show the rug but I sure wish whoever designed the set made it a little more believable. Why is the night table in front of French doors? Why are the tiny little pictures over the headboard clearly off-center and way too small? The bed is not made properly and the chair is in the traffic pattern also in front of the doors. Other than those minor details, the rug is really beautiful! Boy I’ll tell you – having a Designers eye is a curse sometimes when I pick out details like this but still, if you’re selling a product show them the best you have!
And Capel Rugs really has a great selection of area rugs. As a matter of fact, I think it’s the only high quality rugs you can get in South Charlotte. Don’t bother going to the box stores even though they sell rugs to. They are really poor quality and will start to look shabby in a year. Independent retail stores are too expensive so just go to Capel. They are a family owen business that has been around for really long time and look for yourself, the rugs are gorgeous.
Like the look of this room? Well you know where to get the rug and as far as paint color look at Dusty Cornflower by Benjamin Moore in the Color Stories Collection.
