6 Ways To Bring Sexy Into your Home for Valentine’s Day

“How do I love thee? Let me count the ways…”

Elizabeth Barrett Browning sure knew how to count the ways she loved but did she know how to sexy up a room for Valentines’ Day? Well, with words like she created in her sonnet, I’m pretty sure she did but just in case you still want to know, here are 6 ways to get your home sexy in a heartbeat, thump thump, thump thump.

1PAINT COLOR

Of course you knew that paint color would be #1 on my list right? Right! Transform your room in to a sensual sensation with color. Look at this living room with its red-hot walls that make this room just pop. Keep the architectural features such as the columns and moldings white to balance the white furniture and area rug. Add some light touches of green for some complementary thrills and this living room will allure anyone who sees it. Sexy! Try RED BAY by Sherwin Williams.

Smooth. Shiny. Soft. Seductive. These are all words that I’d use to describe these Bassano Cherry Kent leather chairs. Put them on top of a zebra skin rug and you have the perfect setting for romance! A glass of wine and some cheese will complete the look – red wine of course! Want to try this red for your walls? CHINABERRY by Benjamin Moore is close.

FLOWERS

Loves me, loves me not. Loves me, loves me not. Loves me! And don’t you just love getting  flowers? I know I do. Nothing says “I love you” like a boutique of flowers. Really want to get the point across? One single red rose will say it in a heart beat ♥ Pick the reddest red flowers you can find and fill the room up with them and enjoy. Try ROSY BLUSH for a paint color, Benjamin Moore.

4BUBBLES

Bath

Ahhhhhhhh! There is nothing and I mean nothing like a hot soak in a bubble bath. Am I right ladies? Add your favorite bubbles with a hint of lavender, classical music in the background and even a special someone to wash your  back. Don’t forget your glass of wine! Try BUBBLE BATH also from Benjamin Moore for a super cute pink paint color.

BACON

From beautiful red chairs right down to a bubble  bath, these are all very sexy things to add to your home. But I think we can all agree that the ultimate in sexiness is a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich 🙂 Ok, you know I’m just having fun here but really, nothing brings a smile to ones face like a pound of bacon. There are many colors in Bacon but for an overall color, try PAPRIKA from Valspar. This is a super, deep, very rich color and in my opinion, very sexy. I have it in my office and it works for me 😉

  1. Hmmm, I really like the ‘Paprika’ color from Valspar. Maybe that is the color I should have chosen for my master bathroom. The ‘Chinaberry’ looks like the perfect, agreeable ‘hot pink’ color.

  2. this was super cute post! of course, i esp liked the bacon part. oh, and the chocolate 🙂
