There is not one person, place or thing that I look at and don’t see a color pallete. It can be a landscape, still life, pets, people and food of course. The last few weeks I’ve been loving the photography of Sandra Goroff. She really captures the feel of Autumn as we transition from Summer to Fall.
Here are just a few that I incorporated into a mood board so you can see the color palettes that I notice first when I see her shots.
This is a very typical color palette you think of when you say Autumn. You have the burnt oranges and fading green leaves. Love the maple trees as they go from green to red, gold and yellow. Such a display of color!
Now this photograph I found very interesting. See the blue and violet? Typically when you think of a Barn shades of gray come to mind but sometimes gray is not really gray at all and looks a bit purple. I know a lot has to do with lighting but it’s the same as looking at white snow. Sometimes it’s so white it looks blue. Super cool colors here!
This scene reminds me of my Long Island days back on the North Shore staring out into the sound as the beach flora block the view. Of course we all love variations of blue and the earthy colors that go with it.
I hope you enjoyed these very inspirational mood boards from Sandra Goroff I know I did! You can purchase her book at Amazon and enjoy them every day.
I’m a fall girl, all the way!
Me too! Love my boots and jeans!
