Let’s get those old dated colors out of our homes and start thinking about the new and very colorful possibilities for 2014. Here are a few hues that I highly recommend.
BEIGE is so long in the tooth that I don’t even look at it on my color decks anymore. Is that my choice? (Laughing) No actually, it’s coming right from my clients!
GRAY is still holding its own but it’s changing a bit towards the violet (cooler) which is good! It’ll be a great neutral for the foyer to go along with all the purple and pinks that will be showing in 2014.
BLUE of course will ALWAYS be the favorite in the home but it’s dark! Grab yourself some navy or an indigo and go to town!
PINK is the surprise hue to have in the home but we’re not talking about bubble gum pink. Think about soft pinks with slight purple undertones for a very accommodating color for just about any room in the home. I know, I know! You’re not a fan of pink but neither was I until I painted a light purple-pink in my office. After living in it for 3 months I can’t tell you how happy I am with this color. Now if a hue can impress me then you know YOU have to give it a try. Why is it so good? (hold on now) Because it’s a neutral that goes with just about anything! That’s right! I just called pink a neutral and a 6 months ago I would have screamed at you if someone else had said this.
Here are some colors that will be winners for the home. Change your colors for the better!
Happy New Year dear Donna!
