I’m so excited!!!! The Historic town of Waxhaw, North Carolina is such an amazing town and is just exploding with art! As a member of the Waxhaw Arts Council I’m so very proud of all our new members and the extreme talent that they have. Having said that, I am tickled pink to also be contributing to the artfulness in Waxhaw June 6th as I have a One-Woman-Art Show, first of it’s kind in Waxhaw.
I am currently working on the details but do know it will be held at the Meeting Place building in Waxhaw which is right next to the Heritage restaurant (previously the Main Street Grill).
I’ll be featuring my 16 x 24 acrylic finger paintings and my hand painted vases. I’m currently working on larger pieces such as a 24 x 36 “Monet’s Garden” and it’s coming out beautiful. Here’s a little sneak peek of what I’ll be showing on June 6th.
This is going to be my interpretation of “Monet’s Garden”. Monet is my absolute Impressionistic painter.
It really captures the essence of an early morning walk in a garden. This painting is a combination of a finger-painting and also which the use of brushes. I’ll post more and it develops.
Here is another fun finger-painting that I just made yesterday on Mother’s Day called “Lily of the Valley”. The colorful background really makes the bells pop. This is a 16 x 24 acrylic and it’s selling for $75.
“The Streets of New Orleans”, look at that color! Am I the only one who gets this excited about color? Wait to you see this one in person. The Big Easy never looked so good.
I’ll be posting more painting previews later along with details of the show. My art will be reasonably priced so this is the perfect time to get those Graduation and wedding gifts that June is known for.
Beautiful !! My favorite is the New Orleans street! Good luck with your show.
Thanks Cheryl! I can’t wait 😊
