Benjamin Moore Nails their Color For 2015

It’s a good green to have in the home! Look at this and tell me what you see. Do you feel good when you see this color? Relaxed? Comforted? Happy? This is what the RIGHT color can do for you in YOUR home.

As you’ve all been reading, I’m writing more and more about Holistic Color and this falls right into the realm of my new twist on color.

Look at this gorgeous hue? It’s Guilford Green HC-116 and I’ve used it many times before for my clients. It’s great for just about any room of the home especially the family room or a bedroom. Choosing Color of the Year isn’t easy but I’m very happy with this choice.

Now guess what color I’m going to pair with Guilford Green? I’ve been posting about these two hues since 2009 and it’s for a reason and it’s going back to color that is good for you.

Love this! It’s Butterscotch 2157-30 and will be perfect with Guilford Green.

Butterscotch

I know what you’re thinking and you shouldn’t be. You’re thinking about peach and sea foam of the 80’s right? So what????? Why is this such a bad thing? Peach and seafoam never did anything bad. Why are these two colors so despised? Well get used to these two hues because I have a feeling you’ll you will be seeing a lot of them together.

The reason I love this green and butterscotch (salmon) combination because it’s not the typical blue and gray that you find in the homes today. We now have a chance to move forward with new color combinations of the home. Stepping away from blue and choosing another color other than gray is a jump towards a really nice color trend.

Aren’t you tired of blue and gray yet? Don’t you find some type of comfort in these two colors? I bet if you took this green and butterscotch color combo and showed it to a child along with a blue and the very trendy gray and asked the child which color combo they liked better they would go to the butterscotch and green. Try it, I bet you’ll be surprised which colors they choose.

Now tying this all in with holistic color, we have the soft greens of an avocado and we have the orange hues of salmon. These are great colors to having a home people!

Again you’re going to hear me talk a lot about holistic color and how certain colors really need to be in our homes at this point. This color trend is pointing in the direction of back to basics colors that make us feel good.

  1. Your colors look great in this home. We had These colors from a previous owner, for some reason they did not look good with our lighting and darker wood trim so we repainted it, now we are having a painter come for estimate and paint again for a new look. After 10 years it’s time to re paint.
