I started writing a few posts on healthy color and even have a video or two about the same subject. When you think about it, what exactly is healthy color? Is is color that instantly heals you when you look at it? Is is color that reminds you of a Doctor’s office or hospital? So what is it?
The point that I try to make about choosing healthy color is really quite simple. What is boils down to is color that makes you “feel good” when you see it. It’s also color that represents a healthy food, such a salmon, fruit, green tea and vegetables that we know are healthy for you.
As a matter of fact, I just saw a Facebook notification pop up as I was writing this blog post. I had posted this graphic and a friend said “those colors make me feel good.” How can you NOT put these colors in your home then?
Pay attention to how colors make you feel when you look at them. Don’t choose color just because you neighbor has them or because that’s what’s saturated in the market. More importantly, choose a handful of colors that you like and show them to your family. Take a vote and see which colors everyone else likes and why.
It’ll be fun to hear why someone likes a particular color. It’ll also be nice to see that color in your home, because it make you feel good.
