Can We PLEASE Have 50 Shades of Brown?

I don’t know about you but I’m getting to my limit with all this gray, 50 Shades or less. Is gray really that fantastic? No it’s not. Gray had it’s day but at this point, it’s getting beat like Grandma’s old rug.

Why gray? Why beige? Why white? Why brown? Why any color? I know we need a “go to neutral” in our home and yes, gray sure is a nice fit but it’s become an epidemic at this point. What about other colors? Give them a chance and let’s start putting gray to rest.

I’ve had 8 virtual clients this week and surprisingly they all want COLOR! One asked for a brown accent wall, another asked for dramatic color in the living room, another wanted a gold to go with the coral she was using. How exciting!!!!! Not one request for gray.

Now the flip side of this dilemma is the gorgeous Coastal Color scheme that everyone still loves – and I do too! You HAVE to use gray for this palette, there’s really no getting around it. You can’t totally eliminate a color palette such as the Coastal but you can certainly look at other options when it comes to which neutral you ask for or need for your home.

Trust in your color Professionals if you feel yourself stuck in the gray loop. There are other neutrals for your home that are just as pretty but with the switch of the undertone, you have a totally new hue. Try it.

I still love the gray……I think it’s clean and fresh. Sorry you hate it so much.

It’s not that I hate gray, but too much of a good thing is, well – not good. Like too many donuts – wait that was a bad example. Lol, you know what I mean. Gray is just showing it’s colors, old.

Gray is nice in certain places; so is brown. Then again, so is every color except beige and white. Use color; brighten your world, lift your spirits and for goodness sake, step out of ho-hum boredom! In my opinion, various shades of peach create a lovely space. The correct peach depends on the ambient light and area of the country. Keep telling us, Donna, that color makes us feel good!
