Color is so much more than just pigment on the walls. It is or should be a way of life.
What is color?
- Color is art
- Color beautifies our home
- Color is defined by either male colors or female colors
- Colors are warm
- Colors are cool
- We eat color in the form of food
We all know what color is but what does color do?
- Color heals
- We wear colors that make us feel good
- Color triggers memories
- Color makes up happy or sad
- Color labels
Now going to the part where I said color heals. You heard me write about that before in several posts. The post about the Color Therapy Room goes into detail about how important color is to have in the home. If you haven’t read that one please do. It’s more than just having your favorite painting or pretty sofa in the home. It’s really, really connecting with the colors in your home to alter the way you feel. That’s huge!
I recently “met” Rosetta Elsner who is an Abstract Energy Artist. I was so delighted to meet another like-minder color lover such as myself.
Looking on her blog I noticed a plethora of color! How fun! Then I read what she had to say about it and realized we were on the same page. Read her post Using Color To Awaken Creativity and Healing. It’s truly amazing that color can be that powerful and I’m glad that I have other writers/artists that I can reference to help me get my points about color out to you. Here is a quote from her post that just nails it.
“ … it is the colour that you are drawn to the most whether in the paint you choose or the clothes you wear, etc is the colour that you require to help you clear any energy blockages and medicate you to better health and well-being.”
Isn’t that awesome??? That is so what I’m trying to convey to you and to get into our homes. I’m glad I have another visual for you because I’m going to reference Rose often – thanks Rose!
In closing, here is one of her paintings that is available for your home. Isn’t that beautiful? Look at the colors and how it moves and tell me how you feel.

Thank you Donna for having faith in me and for your support of my creative venture that is Energetic Abstractions. I am ever so grateful that whilst on our respective ‘colour journey’ that our paths crossed and we are able to offer insight to one another.
Wow … we connected by colour alright and good thing for the both of us that we did! I could not have asked for a more perfect “Color Mentor” to teach me even more about the idiosyncrasies of Color and I look forward to many more collaborations with you as we both play our role in raising awareness of the healing benefits of Holistic Hues. Rose 🙂
Like wise Rose. You and your writings balance out or elaborate on the point that I’m “trying” to make about Holistic Color. It’s a tough topic to convey to others to the more visuals and writings the better! Thank you so much 🙂
