The Easiest Way To Bring Holistic Color Into Your Home

2017-color-trends-Holistic-color-earthy-tones-donna-frasca-.010Don’t you just feel wonderful when you look at this rug? Look at those colors? They really life your energy and just feel good when you look at them.

The colors are bright, happy and have a great energy. No drab grays so sad blue here. This my friends, is the look and feel that our homes should have.

You’ve heard me talk about Holistic Colors before. They are the earthy colors – but not dirty and drab – that resonate with you. That’s the point of Holistic Hues, to choose the color that you’re drawn to and bring them into the home.

Don’t worry about the color trends and that just about everyone has blue and gray in their home. Be unique and choose what calls your name when you see it.

Think Nature, think Chakra colors, this life, think energy and just think about what these colors mean to you. Do they trigger a good memory? If so, that is the color you need to bring into your home.

For example, there is a certain yellow that I see and when I do, it reminds me of the semi gloss yellow my Grandmother had in her kitchen. Would I use semi gloss? No, of course not but that’s not the point. The point is the color. That particular yellow, and it’s really had to find these days because everyone is still stuck in the blue-gray look, that yellow take me back to that coffee smelling, amazing food, Grandma loving kitchen. THAT’s how we should be choosing color for our home.

Here are a few that I really like and the are all from NW Rugs and Furniture so Google them to see if there is one by you or shop them online.

  1. These swatches are so great. Thank you. We always say, “start with the rug, paint last.” I often pull the color that shows up least in the rug and use that as the wall color, then complementary colors for accessories like pillows, throws, etc. Great post, Donna. Cheers. #loveofrugs

Yes! I do the same. I use what I call “secondary colors” to pull out in a home. Here I used a lot of the main colors but I think in one or two, I used the secondary, or the colors that hide behind the obvious ones. LOVE your rugs and your prices are so affordable.

When I have my virtual clients, I’m going to use your site. Why didn’t I get this this light bulb moment earlier? I need to slow down 🙂
