Here we have a kitchen, and forget the wall color, that is just a disaster but can easily be changed out. However, the cabinets are a little more work.

Wall color is an easy fix. Flooring and your countertops, not so much. I like to try to work with the colors that are in the countertops to tie in the look of the kitchen. Then the  walls can be painted to coordinate the room.
