When Color Heals In The Form Of Art

What do you FEEL when you see this painting? Do you see the Angel in the middle? See the gold reflection?

After viewing this painting and studying the colors just a bit, you should have a feeling of warmth in your heart. Why? Because of the colors. Ok, having an Angel in your painting helps too but it’s the combination of everything that completes this painting.

I’m going to start digging deeper and deeper into color and probably tap into an area where most Color Experts don’t go – and that’s the heart.

I’m so hoping that soon, this is the way that we’ll be choosing color for our home and not just going to the box store and picking the top ten best hues for the home. That is empty, cold and a meaningless way to pick colors that you’ll be seeing in your home everyday.

Here, I broke down those colors for you. I don’t know about you but I sure would love to have these colors in my home BUT my Husband would kill me if I ask him to paint the house AGAIN, lol.

Pretty darn nice don’t you think? I love how the gray is not a depressing gray because it’s warm and inviting. Look how soft it is next to that cream.

Since all these hues came from the painting, you already know that they work well together. If they look good in a painting, they will look better on your walls. That is why it’s so easy to design a color palette around art. The colors are already chosen for you, you just have to pick about five that you love best.

This painting is for sale by the way. It’s a 12″x12″ acrylic and is $111 which includes shipping. Send me an email at DecoratingbyDonna@mac.com if you’d like either the painting or the color palette.
