I posted this graphic several times before but it’s such a great color palette to have for the home, especially if you have an open floor plan. How do you go about getting it? Here’s how.
This is how all the color palettes work on my website.
As you notice I post my color graphics but don’t mention any of the names of these colors and there’s several reasons for that.
I have mentioned this before but it’s repeat worthy and I’d like to explain it a little better because I can understand why it is confusing to most.
My job is designing color palettes. Even though I have a degree in Interior Decorating and Design, I don’t sell furniture, or design drapery or even design floor plans. I did that back in the day but since then, have tweaked my business to specialize in just providing color for my clients.
There are several reasons that I don’t reveal the name of my color palettes.
I design color palettes. Just color. Nothing else but color. If I were to reveal the names of all my color palettes, I’d put myself out of a job.
These colors exist in several paint decks. The bedroom color name in the Sherwin Williams paint deck will be different from what is available in the Benjamin Moore paint deck. Like Valspar? Yup. Different name again. This way I can show you the color palette and you tell me which paint company you’d like to use. At that time I look up these colors in the paint brand of your choice and then the names are chosen.
I know there are Designers out there that do tell you the names of their colors BUT they also charge an arm and a leg for their design services. I don’t. I have a home office, no overhead and most if not all my clients are virtual. Therefore, I can afford to have lower prices compared to other Designers.
I work very fast. If you are interested in a color palette, I send you a link to PayPal and within 24 hours (48 at the most) you have your colors. Other Designers take a lot of time – why – because they have other services that they are working on and just choosing color isn’t high on their list.
I am the only Designer in Charlotte, NC (where I live) that just specializes in color. As a matter of fact, I’m the only Designer, and I know a lot of big-wigs, whose career is all color, just color and nothing else but color.
I’ve been an Interior Designer for over 30 years. I’ve been designing just color exclusively for the pat 10 years. I know color really well 🙂
So I hope my explanation helps you understand what I do and why I don’t reveal the names of my color palettes. Any questions, and no, you can’t ask me for the names of this color palette, lol. However, it you’d like to purchase them in the paint brand of your choice, email me at DecoratingbyDonna@mac.com.
Thank you all!!!
Hello Donna! I found you while looking at pinterest. I love your Sherwin Williams coastal color palette. We are building a home in Georgetown TX and I would love to get a color palette from you. I’m not sure how it works, but just let me know. We are doing Old Chicago brick and stucco on the exterior and I want mainly an off white inside with bits of other neutral, warm colors. Thank you so much. Chris Allowitz
Hey Chris! Thanks for checking out my Pinterest page – lots of goodies there right? I’d love to help you with your colors. Send me an email at DecoratingbyDonna@mac.com. We can chat there 🙂
