I love designing color for homes that have these beautiful archways. However, when you also have an open floor plan, the one question I always get is, “what color should I paint the archways?”

And the answer an easy one. I always choose a light neutral, creamy white and that color will vary depending on what the other colors are in the home.

I also LOVE accenting that feature by changing up the sheen. If the rest of the home is flat/matte then I choose the slightly shinny eggshell for the inside of those archways. This little detail really dresses up the home.

Of course the rest of the colors HAVE to coordinate and share the same undertone. When you live in an open concept home and can see up to five rooms at the same time, the colors have to be spot on so you transition well from room to room.
