I love yellow, but this color scheme is really beautiful!

    • Donna Frasca says:

Yellow was and is a hard sell. I always had to adjust that color for clients – replacing it is perfect!

      • Rebecca Neustel says:

That’s why we’re painting away all the yellow out of our house when we put it on the market next year. We aren’t repainting with white, though. That just seems to be too lifeless.

        • Donna Frasca says:

I agree with you about the white. It just reminds me too much of hospitals.

Now the yellow is a tough one there are VERY few really nice yellows out there. Most are way too close to gold which is dated or beige which is worse. I wish someone would create a true yellow and call it Southern Charm – you know like the amazing Souther Mansions that had that nice warm yellow with white accents? Just can’t find it.

HEY PAINT COMPANIES!! DID YOU HEAR THAT? 🙂

What’s the solution for houses with several rooms in one great room?

    • Donna Frasca says:

Most if not all my clients have homes with open floor plans or a great room such as yours. I like to have some type of green in the great room which symbolizes the color of the Heart Chakra – perfect room for “love” of family there.

Halls I keep light white, usually Westhighland White which is a soft, creamy white. This way you can have any colors you want to in the bedrooms and they will meet up against the white.

I need help! Renovating our smallish sized kitchen from drab to fab! Going for a Tuscany/French country feel. Ivory bead board cabinetry. Wood flooring. Months and numerous paint samples of yellows later and I can’t find what I want! Hubby then suggests green – I’m not a fan. PLEASE HELP! Thanks in Advance!
    Olga

    • Donna Frasca says:

Olga, If your kitchen is smallish, then I’d certainly keep your color light and bright. Choose a creamy off white such as Classical White SW2829 and bring your French Country color accents in with your decor. I hope that helps!

These are from 2016, Ben Moore.
Do you still work with this palette, and if so, how do I get it?
Want a calm retreat for my master. I’ve been looking at blues, but can’t find my way!
Going crazy!! I want rich, calming, not dry, for lack of better terms, just beautiful color.
I hv a Karastan rug, just full of beautiful colors, not a pattern though. My main source of color you’d say.
Will these colors work, then I can move on to rest of home, where I’m ready to do a face lift with other colors for flow!!

It’s $100 just to get the names of the paint???

    • Donna Frasca says:

Yes Ma’am. These are colors that are chosen and designed to flow beautifully from room to room, have coordinating undertones and are colors that are not only well-liked but look beautiful with most decors.

You can certainly pick out colors for your home and hope for the best – that they are not too light, too dark, too cool, too pink or too lifeless. Sure you can most certainly choose your own colors and do well but for those who are petrified of doing so, I’m here to help, and for them, it’s well worth the investment.

PS – please reread what this website is about and any additional questions you may have will be answered. Thank you!
