What Colors Should I Have In My Home If I’m Sensitive To Color?

Did you ever look at a look and cringe? Not because it was an ugly color but because you could “feel” it? I hear this very often from my clients. They say they are sensitive to color and a very specific color palette is chosen for them. Let’s take a look as some colors will help and some that will hurt.

What’s the difference in all of the three palettes? The way they feel when you first see them. If you ask me, they  are all beautiful and would be lovely in the home. However, each one has a different feel to it.

I don’t know if you realize this or not but I’m a Clairvoyant. If you take a look on the top of this blog and look in the black tab area you’ll see a tab to Angel Hug 2.34. That is my other blog where I really dig deep into who I am. In this blog, I like to combine the two and design color palettes that have a different feel to the on a different level.

Back to the color palettes.

The first ROSE palette is soft. You may not like the colors but they don’t slam you in the face when you see them.

“There is a difference from liking colors to noting how they feel. It’s almost like some colors whisper and some colors scream. The ROSE palette whispers.”

The SUNFLOWER color palette is super pretty too! It has yellow, green and blue – super happy colors. Now the difference is that they are a little bit strong, more saturated in hue. So if the ROSE palette was a whisper, the SUNFLOWER would be a normal conversation.

The last color palette, the ORANGE FLOWER is also beautiful! What a unique combination of unusual colors right? So how is this palette different? It is just below a scream if you are color sensitive.

Does this make a little sense now?

So when sensitive people or people who have anxiety or ADHD, color can’t be screaming at them. You can have any color you want to whether it’s pink, blue, green or purple but they have to whisper, not scream. It also helps if the person who is designing color palettes can see and feel colors on a different level than most.

Welcome to my world, the story unfolds ❤

  1. Nice Donna! I like the screaming colors myself, haha at least in these color combos. Great explanation.

Thank you for putting this into words for me. I am extremely sensitive to colors. They trigger different emotions for me and can even make me physically uncomfortable.

Please know that you are not alone Vanessa. So many of my clients are color sensitive too. I myself, can’t wear certain colors because they make me feel nauseous. Thank you for your comment.
