Come Celebrate Spring With Pastels On The Ceiling

Happy first day of Spring! Now is the time to start fresh, dig into those new beginnings and perhaps even move forward with your spring home improvements. As we leave behind winter and the long, cold nights we can start thinking about reviving our home with colors that have new life. Are they pastels? Maybe!

Bring on the pastels for your home. They are soft, light colors that can be introduced to your home in unexpected places.

Pastels are more than just colors we can use for the kids rooms, think ceiling color. I have used lavender for some clients on the ceiling and it was an awesome addition to the room.

Who says a ceiling has to be white? Sure that’s the norm and really does a room good but I’ve been seeing more and more rooms that have color on the ceiling and I love it. I was in a home the other day and the walls were a neutral off white but the ceiling was a beautiful sky blue. It’s nice to have your focus go up in the room and notice the ceiling which for the most part, goes unnoticed. The poor fifth wall.

Today, think about how you can use these soft hues in your home. Benjamin Moore has Kept Love Letters which is beautiful!

Try SageBrush by Benjamin Moore if you like green. I would highly recommend this color for the home, it goes with so many decors. It’s subtle yet has a nice green presence.CSP-770-1-sagebrush-benjamin-moore.JPG

Grandmas China is a great choice if you still want a lighter ceiling but find white to be too stark.

Grandmas China is a great alternative to a white ceiling.

So you see, there are many ways to use pastels in the home and as you can see here, I’d start by putting them on the ceiling.

How will you use pastels in your home?
