Home From The Hospital? Colors To Consider To Help You Heal

You just got home from the hospital and you couldn’t get out of there fast enough. You wanted to be in your home, in your bed and eating home cooked food. What are we talking about here? Comfort of course but also healing from within.

A Healing Bedroom

Why not? Revisit your youth as you heal. Doing this is one of fastest ways to naturally heal your body.

Think of the times when you were sick. How did you feel? Well sick of course but you just wanted to crawl in bed and have Mom take care of you right? Of course! No matter how old we are we seem to regress to the days when we longed for that special TLC that we could only get in the home.

Having a room visually appealing is EXTREMELY important in the healing process and color will make a world of difference. Yes these look like “baby” colors as I said but the rest of your room will not, if you’re an adult of course. This is one way you can incorporate a healing hue for your room as you begin to recover.

Home From The Hospital? Colors That Will Help Me Heal

There’s no place like home right? The sooner we get home we can start the healing process but how do we do that? There are many things that will comfort us from food to color.

The colors here look very youthful don’t they? The fact that they are all Teddy Bears also gives it that juvenile appeal. No these are not colors for a nursery but colors to consider if you have a long healing process and will designate one room of your home to just healing.

So here I have some wall color suggestions but also consider other elements in the room. Lighting is also important. Lava lamps are super fun and even those night lights that project stars on the ceiling at night are awesome. (I have a lava light in my living room, one that has gold glitter in it). When you think about it, having the lava lamp and the night light brings back good memories don’t they? If not for you yourself, perhaps when you were raising your kids. This kind of healing all has to do with the mind.

Incorporate those colors into your bedding and as much as you don’t want to, be sure to keep your bed tidy. I don’t know about you but having an unkept bed really ruffles my feathers when I’m sick or not.

Buy some super fun throw pillows and make sure you have bright colors, animals or flowers on them, anything that will bring a smile to your face.
