Color Trend For 2020: Decorating With Your Chakras In Mind

Oh, I love this time of year! It’s the time when we start reviewing what we did in 2019 and begin to set our sights for 2020. What are my goals? Still and always are, to get healing hues into our homes. How? With color, of course, but not just any old colors. Here, I have a beautiful variation of the Chakras colors. Who would’ve thought our little energy centers would be so beautiful?

Color Trend for 2020: Decorating With Your Chakras In Mind

From Root Chakra red right up to the glories lavender of the Crown Chakra, here is the perfect color palette for the home. No more wishy-washy coastal color or lifeless grays my friends, we are going for color, life, energy, and healing for 2020. Now, who would NOT want that in our homes?

You, of course, can arrange these colors for any room in your home, these are just suggestions based on the way colors feel. For example, I always like using green in the living or family room is because that is where love gathers. Green is the color of the Heart Chakra.

Solar Plexus Yellow and Sacral Chakra Orange are high energy colors that are great for some get-up and go in the kitchen for the morning or a little lift as you do those mundane chores. They are also cheery colors for your guests to enjoy and will forever remember the feeling of comfort in your guest rooms.

Throat Chakra sky blue is excellent for a bathroom to help relax. Picture yourself sitting in the tub looking up at a blue sky – yes – get rid of the white ceiling and paint it blue!

See the office color? Very similar to the Color Of The Year by Sherwin Williams, which is Navel. Too bad they didn’t tap into the 3rd Eye Chakra for that one! But yes, this indigo or navy is a great color to light up and activate your insights for the office. Are you working on a project? Work from home? Are you trying to balance a budget? Go indigo and trust your insights, that’s what they’re there for.

Finishing up with a muted shade of lavender is the color I chose for the Master Bedroom. This is the color of our Crown Chakra and connects us to our spirituality.

Here’s how it may look:

When you recommend a muted shade of lavender, do you have a go-to color from Benjamin Moore or Sherwin-Williams? Thanks!

  13. Donna Frasca says:

I love Magic Potion 1250 Benjamin Moore

  14. Eileen H Michaels says:

Thank you, Donna! I’m going to get a sample of that color this week to see if it works in the room’s lighting.

  15. Donna Frasca says:

If you have a Northern room, it may be too muted. Also, if your light bulbs have a yellow cast, it’ll look muddy. There’s more to color that just picking a pretty, muted lavender. These details are important 🙂
