Thank god for my career in color, it’s the one thing that keeps me balanced, and on some level, heals me.

On the days when my head spins, my heart hurts and my thoughts are all over the place, I turn to color. That god for this blog, it’s great therapy for me!

Color combinations, chakra colors, posts about our homes, it all helps calm my mind. If you notice my posts, they bounce between spiritual posts and posts about the home, a little of everything for the mind, body, and spirit – oh, and the home of course.

I like to start my days in my office, looking at what color palette I can create and see how it can be used. The graphic above serves several purposes. One, the colors to me are so calming. Even though I’m not a fan of blue or gray, this palette just soothes me as I look at it. Separately, these colors are meh but together, they work magic on a spiritual level.

What is the palette all about? I love the grounding, earthy green. It reminds me of a walk in the forest. The blue reminds me of the storm clouds as the sky begins to clear. The gray symbolizes balance for me, it’s both black and white together, creating a neutral space. And the cream color is a neutral color to rest the eyes and mind. It’s soft, not sharp like white and looks beautiful next to any of these colors, like a friend.
