Raspberry Blush Is A Cocktail Of Color

Well, isn’t this a nice surprise!? A Benjamin Moore Color of the Year that is the perfect blend of red, yellow, and gray. I’m so happy this color is bright and uplifting! I feel I want it in nail polish and lipstick. Let’s break it down.

Raspberry Blush colors

I love looking at how colors are made; how much red? How much yellow? How much gray? And Raspberry Blush by Benjamin Moore has the perfect ratio of those three colors.

In the above graphic, I combined red on the left and yellow on the right, and I dropped a shade of gray over the red and yellow to create Raspberry Blush. Thankfully, there is very little gray in this gorgeous color. For once, a Color Of The Year is crisp and clean. Yeah, you can say that I really like this color.

Most articles you read about this color will be very descriptive and compare it to a beverage or past color trends. I, of course, will look at it in a different way.

  1. I see red as the color of our Root Chakra, full of grounding energy and strength.
  2. I see yellow as the color of our Solar Plexus, the color that represents our joy and empowerment.
  3. I see gray, not my favorite color for the home, as the color that comes into balance and remains it’s a natural feeling when life gets too complicated.

Isn’t it amazing that red, yellow, and gray can make up such a beautiful color? Where would you put Raspberry Blush in your home?
