There are so many variations of coastal colors that you can choose for your home. But for the most part they are the soft sky blues with beach glass greens seen beside the sandy grays and cream colors of the dunes. Sounds like something you’d like in your home? Well join the many families in Charlotte who also have been loving coastal colors.
I have been designing the coastal color scheme for my clients in Waxhaw and South Charlotte since 2007. That’s a long time for one color palette to be running and as far as I’m concerned it can run for another six years.
For the most part the sky blues seem to be the best fit for the Master Bedroom but the Living Room is the second runner-up as far a popularity.
Like grays are hands down the hue to have in the hallways replacing the Contractors Beige which is not even close to being a nice color.
Greens branch out into the Kitchen or Family Rooms because that hue is known for its relaxing qualities. What a great color to have in the home as we start our day!
Another wonderful trend I see is that people are changing their flooring to darker woods such a walnut stains. The coastal color palette in crazy beautiful with dark floors and finished off with bright white trim throughout will complete the look.
Are you picturing the Coastal Home in your mind now? So many people are and if you’d like this palette in your home, contact me because this is one of the color palettes that I specialize in. Growing up on Long Island has these beachy hues forever embedded in my mind.
