Our meditation and yoga rooms should represent our inner peace and tranquility. It’s the room in our home where we can focus on breathing, managing our thoughts, and releasing the day’s stresses. How do we ever choose a color that will help make this one room in our home the ultimate in reaching our zen? Here’s something to consider.
This is a very popular question I get in my email. With 2020 as is has played out so far, it’s no wonder.
I’d like to share a virtual project that I just completed. When I connect with a client – that where the INTUITIVE part of my title comes in – I base the colors around my client’s energy, much like a reading. Here is an email I’d like to share with you.
Here is a section of the email for this project.
… I” love the color options you have for your special room, and there is an excellent reason I chose what I chose.
The first set of colors is what I intuitively saw for your space. The green palette, as you called it, is extraordinary. Love is a powerful emotion and green, is the color of the Heart Chakra. When we are surrounded by love, we sit in a very high vibration.
In that palette, there is also a touch of blue, which is the Throat Chakra. This year, above all, is a year of self-expression and finding out who we are. What better time to step into our authentic self and express who we are! That was the reason I first chose those colors for you.
I sent you two red representing the Root Chakra. I love those reds, and I have “Dinner Party” in my home, in small amounts as accent spaces. One has to be careful with red; it is a very high energy color. Many of my clients have anxiety and ADHD and red, is emotionally too much for them. This is another reason I gravitate towards very soothing greens.”
As with all the colors I chose for my clients, it’s not a one color fits all project. This is where I really tap into my insights and connect with each and every client.
