Who Has Time For A Quickie? A Color Quickie That Is!

color quickies focus on just a few colors for the home

Oh, I love these Color Quickies! Over the years, I’ve written and made videos on Color Quickies that go back ten years, and it’s nice to revisit the concept. Let’s do it!

Putting Healing Hues aside for a bit, I’ve decided to talk about this particular triad for a while: purple, orange, and green, three of my favorite hues. If you’re unsure what a triad is, you can take a quick peek at the color wheel graphic I posted or do an internet search on it.

Not everyone is a fan of having purple in the home but when you combine it with orange and green, somehow, it just works.

I LOVE purple; it’s the one color that adds a whimsical flair to the home for the people who dare to be different. From a light, muted lavender to a Harry Potter purple, this hue gets an A+ for making a statement in the home.  From your yoga meditation room to the room where your teen is finding their expression, starting with color, purple is the color to cover all those bases.

Orange, and we’re going spicy here, is another hot color choice for the home. I posted TONS about it and also had it in my house for a while. I’m going to the chakra colors here, and this color is all about expression, emotions, and tapping into the “personal” side that we need to express or, at the very least, acknowledge. Burnt orange will do that. Here are some clever ideas on how to incorporate orange into your home.

Last but not least, green. Green is the one color that I favored most in this blog. It’s my favorite color for so many reasons and one that is a must for the home.

I’ll leave this post as is, and I’ll be discussing this triad in detail in several posts, so keep an eye out for them.

Super cool colors to work with, colors that have deep meaning, and colors that, on many levels, will tap into how you feel in your home. Stay tuned for more posts on purple, orange, and green and how to use them in your home.
