Did you notice that Sherwin Williams has a few new colors? I love their new paint deck as well, it’s easier to hold and the color updates are nice and long overdue.
Here are a few of the ones that stood out for me.
Aren’t these nice? I really like the name “Dirty Martini” but the color looks horrible here in the graphic. It’s a beige with a green undertone – nice neutral.
I’ve used Little Boy Blu a lot in my Virtual Designs so far and everyone seems to love that color a lot as well. Stardew is a nice muted blue that can coordinate with it.
Love Primavera – nice green that reminds me of the new grass that you see in the Spring time. Pair that up with Llama Wool or Connor’s Lakefront.
I didn’t see any new reds but Rita’s Rouge was pretty cool. Put that next to Golden Plumeria to brighten any room! Pretty.
How about Belini Fizz and Seawashed Glass? Feels a little throwback to the 80’s? Well why not? These two hues would be great for a girls room.
Notice there’s no gray? Exactly.
Hi Donna, It was suggested that I contact you for your expert color opinion!!
I am building a house & I have been scouring paint stores & the internet for a gray with a hint of a blue undertone. It seems each color I pick, several people on the internet have used it with varying results. I’ve also been on the Benjamin Moore & Sherman Williams sites many times to try colors in their on-line rooms & most of the colors seem to be really bright variations of powder blue? There is so much out there that it is mindboggling, confusing & most of all…scary, LOL!!
I really need someone to simply give me a couple of colors to choose from….PLEAAAAASE!!!!
I do not want a ‘blue’, especially a ‘pastel baby blue’, but I don’t want green or purple undertones either. I want the color to be a medium to light gray, with a hint of blue. Because we are building our house, I can not try a bunch of samples, I need to have the color picked when the painter is ready to go in & do his thing. I want to paint the main part of our house this color (kitchen, dinning & living rooms, hallways), our house is south facing & only one wall of windows on the south facing wall.
I beg you, please help a sista……LOL!!!
Sue:)
Sue, love it! You’re hysterical! Those grays can be tricky because sometime they look pink and sometime blue and sometimes green. Send me an email so we can talk about your options at DecoratingbyDonna@mac.com
