There are many considerations when it comes to choosing the right color roofing shingle for your home. You have to consider the color of your siding, trim, and even your accent color. Also, the size of your home matters as well. Come see what this home would look best in.
Here, I chose a light gray color to coordinate with the cool blue of the home. The red accents will tie in with the brick that is seen in the back of the home (not shown) but I would rather see the roof coordinate with the blue which is seen from the front.
Since this is a small Ranch, I’d keep the color and style of the roofing shingle plain so it’s not really the first thing you notice when you view your home.
Less is more here. Choosing a light gray will help keep the home cooler and it won’t distract from the rest of the home. If a darker color was chosen, the roof would be the feature of the home which is not the ideal look. It would also make the home look short and squatty.
Keep this little Ranch light, cool and let the blue and red of the home be the first thing you notice. It’s all about curb appeal.
