From The Email Box; Can You Help Us With Color For Our Home?

I love sharing emails I get from clients. This one is from a previous client who is purchasing a new home. Last time I designed color for her I went to her house. Now, she will be a virtual client. Will she understand this virtual process or prefer I come to her home? Here’s the email from my email mailbox.

CLIENT: Back in 2008, you designed a color palette for my new build in Fort Mill, SC. We moved out of that house in 2019 but we’re moving back to Fort Mill in late March of 2021. It looks like you are only doing virtual consultations. I wanted to ask because I remember you coming to our house on a sunny day to see just how the light would affect the color choices. We kept those color choices for the entire time we lived there and loved the colors. I would be interested in another consultation for my new house. Are you doing any in-person consultation work or do I need to take pictures on a sunny day to mimic the in-person process? I think I would be looking for an appointment after we move in when the furniture is already in place so early April? I look forward to hearing from you.

DONNA: Congratulations on your new home in Fort Mill. I would love to help you with your colors again. I’ve been 100% virtual for years now, and it works so well and keeps costs down (safety is a concern as well.)

I’d be more than happy to design a color palette for you virtually, all I’ll need is the real estate listing of your home, and I’ll have the photos I need. Let me know which colors you’re gravitating towards, so I can design a classic color palette that will go with most decors. I’ll start with the kitchen, tying in the colors in your countertops and floorings. Let me know if you have plans to change the flooring.

We can start the designs now, or you can wait until you purchase all your new decor. I like to start with colors I love and base my decor around that. It’s up to you! Here is a sample of what your graphics will look like room by room. Don’t worry if you have an open floor plan; as you can see by the graphic, I layout it color by color for you.

Pricing for 2021 is now $300 for this service (homes over 3,000 sq. feet are more), and I accept PayPal. Let me know what paint brand you’d like to use. Sherwin Williams and Valspar can be purchased at your local Lowe’s Home Improvement store. Let me know if you have any questions.
