Need to Chill? Go To Green

Feeling your blood pressure rise? Go to green. It’s that’s strong.

Here I go talking about green again but there’s a reason and it’s called blood pressure. What does green have to do with blood pressure? A lot.

Living the Holistic lifestyle is easier than you think. You’re probably saying “oh now I have to learn an entirely new way of thinking when it comes to Holistic color.” No you don’t. You’re probably already gravitating towards the colors you need and you don’t even realize it.

For example. Yesterday I had a fairly high stress day. It doesn’t happen often but once in a while life gets in the way and BOOM! There goes by blood pressure. So what did I do? I went to green.

The first thing I did oddly enough was to change my facebook banner to this. I spend so much time on the computer (one of the “bennies” of working from home) so this instantly made me take a deep breath when I saw it. Not only is this a pretty picture it’s also holds a great memory of walking in the woods (my favorite thing to do) with my friends on a fabulously gorgeous day. Blood pressure going down.

The second thing I did was to go outside. As I looked at the trees and all the greenery again, I heard myself take a deep breath. Blood pressure continues to drop.

And the last attempt to find my chill was to come inside and just breath and take the final step to relaxation. My living room is also green and I find comfort just being in it at the end of the day. It’s not a bright green (which would not be too relaxing) but more so like a patina green. It looks very muted here on the computer but with the great Southern lighting I have in my living room, this color looks just like the green on old copper. Don’t know how it looks so very different from the color chip but it’s just magical in my living room.

So sometimes green recharges but sometimes it relaxes. Find the green that makes you feel the way you need to feel. Holistic color is so very powerful and trust yourself as you find comfort in color. You’re choosing it for a reason. Live it. Enjoy it. Love it.
