You better believe it!!! There were times when I walked into someones “gray” home and just felt like … well let’s just say it wasn’t a good feeling. I still don’t understand how people can have gray as the dominant color in their home.
Some people think that gray is still the must have color trend and that it will go with everything so they paint their entire home gray. Well, you just created a depression cavern for your home.
Now some grays, such as Benjamin Moore’s Gray Owl is pretty darn nice – in small doses of course.
The color palette I have here is actually really pretty if you used it correctly I just wouldn’t use these colors if I was prone to depression. How would I use it?
I love color! I told my grandson I couldn’t figure out which was my favorite color. He informed me it must be turquoise. I have an 8′ turquoise couch, all my art is turquoise, and I have a turquoise lamp! DUH! LOL
I had a teal sofa when I lived in Pittsburgh and it was really pretty but the one BIG problem. When you bring color into your deco such as in your sofa and accessories, the walls have to be “quite” which is no fun. I wound up using a clean gold, not a quiet color but not a look for everyone. I do have a picture of it here somewhere in this blog.
you have me curious, I am going to have to go through your blog to find it!
Give me a bit – I’ll see if I can find it for you.
Found it! Do a search for this title on my blog: Have The Winter Blues? Add Gold To Your Home
